Brant Beach Yacht Club (BBYC), one of Long Beach Island's most iconic waterfront destinations, is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, relationship-focused, energetic, service-focused, and highly visible Hospitality Operations Manager to help lead the members’ experience and drive wedding and event sales during an exciting period of growth.
As BBYC prepares for the opening of its beautiful new Main Clubhouse in 2027, this position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in the future of the club.
This position is ideal for a hospitality recent graduate, aspiring event professional, or experienced hospitality leader looking to gain hands-on management experience in a unique private club environment.
The Hospitality Operations Manager serves as the bridge between our members, event hosts, kitchen team, and service staff. This individual will take ownership of the guest experience, event execution, and daily dining operations while helping create memorable experiences for our membership.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role that combines restaurant management, hospitality leadership, event coordination, and exceptional customer service.

As part of our team, you'll will play a key role in shaping the member experience and ensuring every visit to BBYC feels special and help couples and clients begin one of the most exciting journeys of their lives.
Your Mission
Your mission is simple:
Deliver exceptional hospitality, create memorable dining experiences, build meaningful member relationships, and ensure every event, dining service and interaction reflects the warmth and excellence that define BBYC.
What You'll Do
Event & Dining Operations Leadership
- Actively engage with members and guests throughout service, building relationships and fostering a welcoming atmosphere
- Serve as the primary point of contact between event hosts, member volunteers, kitchen staff, and service teams during events
- Review event details in advance and communicate service plans to staff
- Coordinate execution of buffets, plated dinners, cocktail parties, themed events, and à la carte dining services
- Oversee event setup to ensure dining spaces are prepared and guest-ready
- Anticipate operational challenges and proactively adjust service plans when needed
- Prepare for upcoming events whenever possible to streamline operations and reduce day-of stress
Member Experience & Hospitality
- Maintain a highly visible and approachable presence throughout all service periods
- Visit tables regularly to ensure satisfaction and anticipate guest needs
- Build relationships with members and become a familiar and trusted presence within the Club
- Learn member preferences and help create personalized dining experiences
- Handle member feedback professionally, positively, and promptly
- Resolve service concerns in real time while maintaining a positive guest experience
Restaurant & Event Operations
- Oversee front-of-house operations for B by the Sea, Bay Bites, and Club social events
- Ensure every dining service and event reflects BBYC's standards of hospitality
- Coordinate with Social Chairpersons, Day Chairs, volunteers, and Club leadership
- Assist with food running, service support, and guest requests when necessary
- Ensure dining rooms, service stations, and event spaces remain organized, clean, and welcoming
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menus, specials, events, and dining offerings
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and support front-of-house staff and volunteers
- Conduct pre-service meetings to review menus, event details, service expectations, and member notes
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
- Provide real-time coaching and support throughout service periods
- Promote strong communication and teamwork between front-of-house and kitchen teams
- Help create a culture of hospitality, accountability, and excellence
Wedding & Event Sales (alongside the Weddings & Events Sales Coordinator)
- Respond to wedding and event inquiries by phone, email, and online platforms (within 24hrs)
- Provide prospective clients with pricing, availability, and rental information
- Maintain regular follow-up communication with leads
- Build relationships that help turn inquiries into confirmed bookings
- Track sales activity and maintain accurate lead records
Client Experience & Relationship Management
- Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable resource for booked clients
- Answer venue-related questions throughout the planning process
- Maintain regular communication with couples and event hosts
Venue Tours (alongside the Weddings & Events Sales Coordinator)
- Schedule tours for prospective clients
- Conduct venue tours as needed
- Showcase the unique features and benefits of hosting an event at BBYC

Typical Schedule
- Light schedule during the off season
- 50+ hrs per week June through September
- Wednesday through Sunday schedule
- Mondays and Tuesdays generally off, except holidays and special events
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and peak summer holidays
Compensation & Incentives
Compensation for the position will be a base salary ($52,000 to $58,000) based on experience. Also included are paid vacations of 2 weeks in the off season (October thru April) on an annual basis.
