General Job Description:
The primary focus of this role is to manage and process electronic court notifications, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of legal updates to the appropriate team members. The ideal candidate will be integral to supporting our legal operations by maintaining the accuracy, organization, and integrity of court-related documents and workflows.
Role in Law Firm Mission:
The Docket Clerk is critical to ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency. They directly support the legal team’s ability to respond promptly to court actions, comply with deadlines, and advocate effectively for clients.
Supervisors: Supervising Drafting Attorney
Key Specific Duties:
- Monitor, retrieve, and process electronic court notifications, including notices of hearings, filings and case updates.
- Review notifications for accuracy and distribute them to the appropriate attorneys, paralegals, or team members promptly.
- Maintain organized records of all court notifications in the firm’s document management system.
- Ensure all case-related notifications are accurately filed for easy access and reference.
- Serve at the primary point of contact for court notification-related inquiries.
- Communicate effectively with legal teams to ensure they are informed of relevant updates and documents.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of court notifications before processing.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies in court-related documentation in collaboration with legal teams.
- Generate regular reports summarizing notifications and case updates for team review.
- Provide support for audits and internal reviews of court notification management processes
