Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of deli foods following established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems
- Assist customers with their food orders, answer questions, and upsell products to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food handling and workspace organization
- Manage cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and handle cash handling duties responsibly
- Restock deli items, monitor inventory levels, and ensure product freshness throughout the shift
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, ovens, and other food preparation tools
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety management practices
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell and engage positively with shoppers
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash register operations
- Bilingual
