Job Title: Golf Cart Attendant
Department: Outside Operations
Reports To: Golf Shop Manager / Head Golf Professional / Outside Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Golf Cart Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by ensuring golf carts are clean, safe, fully stocked, and ready for play. This position also assists with bag handling, practice facility upkeep, and maintaining the overall appearance of the golf course grounds surrounding the clubhouse. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and enjoys working outdoors in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, clean, and stage golf carts before play.
- Wash, sanitize, and park golf carts after each use.
- Check carts for damage, fuel or battery levels, tire pressure, and report maintenance issues.
- Greet golfers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Load and unload golf bags onto carts as needed.
- Maintain the driving range by collecting, washing, and restocking range balls.
- Keep the cart barn, bag drop, and practice areas clean and organized.
- Empty trash receptacles and refill water stations as needed.
- Assist with tournament and outing preparations.
- Ensure all rental equipment is properly stored and maintained.
- Follow all safety procedures and course policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting guests whenever possible.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Weekend, holiday, and early morning/evening availability is required.
- Previous golf course experience is preferred but not required.
Work Environment
- Primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Frequent walking, lifting, bending, and driving golf carts.
- Fast-paced environment during peak golf season.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry golf bags weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Walk and stand for extended periods.
- Operate golf carts and other light equipment safely.
- Perform repetitive cleaning and maintenance tasks.
