Job Description:
We are an established manufacturer of industrial heat treating equipment located in Westmont, IL. We are experiencing significant growth and seek a seasoned MIG and stick welder to join our team. Must be able to set up the weldments using a mechanical drawing. Prior experience in the fan industry is a plus but not a requirement.
Responsibilities:
Experienced MIG and stick welder to weld with mild steel, stainless and various other high grade alloys. Minimum 5 years of experience required welding similar materials and must have the ability to layout workpieces per mechanical drawings. Must be able to read mechanical assembly drawings, set up own welding machine, use hand and power tools common to welders. Will be trained to use the company's ERP system on a tablet in order to process completed work.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with steel fabrication and welding
- Good math aptitude
- Good communication skills
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to read blueprints or mechanical drawings to weld parts
- Must be able to set up own work pieces
- Good reliable work history without attendance problems
- Welding certification a plus but not required.
- Ability to use electric hoist to raise and lower parts to worktable.
- Use of hand plasma cutter
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
