Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various construction projects, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site. Typical Heavy Equipment Operator job duties include but are not limited to:
· Ability to read and comprehend plans
· Ability to shoot grades
· Ability to do finish work
· Dozer experience with or without GPS experience
· Monitor performance as required to perform tasks correctly
· Maintain safety standards
· Ability to operate a track hoe
· Assist with all aspects of the job including basic labor responsibilities
· Other duties as may be assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
Minimum qualifications:
· Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (drug test)
· Ability to work in a team
· Ability and willingness to learn
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Good communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers
Preferred qualifications:
· 1-year previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
· Experience in roadwork a plus
