Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist in Charge to join our team at a reputable pharmacy in Eagle Rock. This position offers the opportunity to lead the pharmacy team and make a significant impact on patient care.
Duties
- Oversee all pharmacy operations and ensure the pharmacy adheres to state and federal regulations, facility SOPs, and professional standards
- Provide professional services such as dispensing, supply and distribution, and clinical and quality improvement
- Communicate with medical personnel and patients, physicians, and the community
- Directly supervise pharmacists and other staff, such as pre-production, cleanroom, and post-production staff
-Monitor training and work with the training/compliance team to ensure training is up to date
-Provide advice and counseling to customers about side effects, drug interactions, and dosages
- Manage inventory, supervise pharmacy staff, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
-Open and close the pharmacy, either directly or through delegation, review batch records and documentation, and identify trends or issues that may be delaying or causing batches to be discarded
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active pharmacist license in the state of California
- Prior experience working in a pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
