Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleanroom Production Worker to join our dietary supplement manufacturing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to mix and fill packaging bags with bovine colostrum in a controlled cleanroom environment, ensuring compliance with strict quality and safety standards. The worker will operate a stick-pack filling machine, lift bins of completed product, and perform cleaning duties to maintain a sterile workspace. This position requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and a commitment to producing high-quality dietary supplements.
Key Responsibilities
- Mixing and Filling: Accurately measure, mix, and fill packaging bags with bovine colostrum, ensuring precise quantities and quality standards are met.
- Machine Operation: Operate, monitor, and perform basic troubleshooting of equipment, reporting any issues to the quality control team.
- Cleanroom Protocols: Adhere to strict cleanroom gowning procedures and contamination control protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
- Product Handling: Lift and transport bins of completed product (up to 50 lbs) to designated storage or shipping areas, following safety guidelines.
- Cleaning Duties: Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of the cleanroom, equipment, and workstations to ensure compliance with GMP and company standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect filled bags for accuracy, seal integrity, and labeling, reporting any deviations or defects to the quality control.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs and records, including batch numbers, quantities, and machine settings, as required by regulatory standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient production schedules and a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior experience required, but previous work in a cleanroom, manufacturing, or food/supplement production environment is a plus.
- Skills:
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to strict protocols.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for operating and maintaining filling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Certifications: GMP training or certification is preferred but can be provided on the job.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work in a controlled cleanroom environment, including wearing full-body protective gear (gown, gloves, hairnet, etc.).
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, based on production needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry bins weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle small packaging components.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a temperature-controlled cleanroom environment requiring strict adherence to gowning and hygiene protocols.
