Job Summary

As an Equipment Transport Operator, you will be responsible for transporting a wide range of machinery and equipment using commercial vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries, and adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers to transport equipment and machinery.
- Load and unload equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques while following safety protocols.
- Plan routes efficiently for timely deliveries and pickups, maintaining clear communication with dispatch teams.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure mechanical soundness and report any issues promptly.
- Assist with moving heavy or bulky equipment within job sites or warehouses, utilizing appropriate tools and safety measures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs for compliance purposes.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during transport operations to ensure personal safety and that of others.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving, shuttle driving, or route driving with a valid driver’s license for commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of heavy haul operations, heavy equipment operation, or military vehicle handling is a plus.
- Familiarity with different types of trucks such as box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, tanker trucks, or tractor-trailers.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Ability to load & unload equipment efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual methods.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly.
- Experience with warehouse operations or yard jockey duties is advantageous.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual handling tasks safely.
