Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team in Duncan, SC. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, and maintaining specialized machinery to produce precision automotive and other components. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with fabrication equipment, and a commitment to maintaining tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Operate production machinery (CNC, lathes, saws, or specialized fabrication equipment) according to specifications.
- Quality Control: Perform regular part inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure all components meet blueprint specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs and material tracking.
- Safety: Adhere to all shop safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and R&D teams to optimize production efficiency and part quality.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or machine shop certification preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, a "quality-first" mindset, and the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
