The Role
Camp Ramah New England is seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeping Manager to lead their housekeeping team. This key role is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of common and programmatic areas, restrooms, dining facilities, staff accommodations, retreat facilities, and residential cabins.
The Housekeeping Manager supervises a team of year-round and seasonal Housekeepers, and works as part of the Campus Operations Team to uphold high standards of cleanliness across the campus.
What You Will Do
The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Managing daily housekeeping operations, including inspections, reporting, and quality control to ensure cleanliness standards and productivity goals are met.
- Leading and supervising a team of year-round and seasonal housekeepers; providing training, guidance, and ongoing support to staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Creating and implementing daily and weekly cleaning schedules to ensure thorough coverage of all campus facilities.
- Personally participating in all cleaning and sanitizing accommodations, common areas, restrooms, and staff facilities, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met.
- Maintaining cleanliness in high-traffic areas, such as restrooms and dining facilities.
- Coordinating with the Events Manager to support retreats and special events, including room setups and turnovers.
- Coordinating with the Facilities Manager on daily campus operations to ensure efficient workflows and timely resolution of facility requests.
- Maintaining an organized housekeeping operation, including inventorying, stocking, and properly storing cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Implementing and overseeing efficient seasonal and year-round laundry operations.
- Assisting with additional duties as needed to support overall campus operations.

- Positive Attitude: Professional, respectful, and courteous when interacting with staff, guests, and retreat participants
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience in hospitality, camp, school, or institutional cleaning environments preferred, with an understanding of high-traffic, multi-use facilities.
