Job Summary
The Receiving-Shipping Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, packaging, and shipping materials and products while maintaining accurate inventory records. This role ensures timely and accurate movement of goods, compliance with company procedures, and safe warehouse operations.
Core Responsibilities
Receiving Duties
o Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documents.
o Check materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
o Accurately record received goods in inventory management systems.
o Label, sort, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
o Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipment issues.
o Performs visual package-condition and documentation verification and routes materials to Quality.
o Verify that product has the appropriate Quality release.
Shipping Duties
o Prepare, package, label, and ship products according to company and customer requirements.
o Verify shipping information, quantities, and documentation before dispatch.
o Schedule shipments and coordinate pickups with carriers and transportation providers.
o Generate shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
o Track outgoing shipments and provide status updates when needed.
o Responsible for processing shipments according to approved regulatory, export-control, serialization, packaging and customer-documentation requirements.
o Verify customer part number, revision, quantity, serial number, labeling, packaging and required certificates before release.
Inventory Control
o Maintain accurate inventory records and update transactions in ERP or warehouse management systems.
o Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
o Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
o Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs.
Warehouse Operations
o Organize and maintain clean, safe, and efficient storage areas.
o Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (as certified).
o Follow company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
o Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
Administrative and Compliance Responsibilities
o Maintain accurate receiving and shipping records.
o Ensure compliance with company procedures and transportation regulations.
o Prepare reports and documentation related to inventory movement and shipments.
o Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of warehouse, stockroom, inventory control, or logistics experience.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to accurately perform data entry and inventory transactions.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and shipping documents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS, PCB, semiconductor, or related industries.
- Knowledge of ESD handling requirements and electronic component storage.
- Experience with specialized inventory management software, ERP systems such as Manex, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Experience with barcode scanners and inventory management tools.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
- Fork Lift experience preferred.

Working Conditions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg) periodically.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks involving scanning, packaging, and material handling.
