Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in machine operation, technical drawing interpretation, and quality control will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other industrial equipment according to technical drawings and production specifications.
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documents to ensure accurate fabrication of parts.
- Operate machinery safely while adhering to all safety standards in production environments.
- Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production flow.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and assist with tooling changes as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, quality checks, and machine performance logs.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment within a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (Fanuc preferred), CAM programming, and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints.
- Familiarity with shop math, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipers.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment effectively.
- Experience with fabrication processes including stamping presses, press brake machines, welding, and materials handling is a plus.
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints accurately and interpret production documents efficiently.
- Basic understanding of safety standards in manufacturing environments to ensure a safe workspace for all team members.
- Hands-on experience with shop tools, hand tools, tooling setup, assembly lines, warehouse operations, and packaging processes is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
