PURPOSE
Drivers are responsible for transporting program participants to necessary appointments in a timely and efficient manner. They may also be asked to transport cargo, supplies, and other items between agency locations at the discretion of Management.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 18 years or age or above
- Valid Driver’s License
- Approved DMV Driver Abstract from UVBH Insurance Carrier upon submission of approved Motor Vehicle Report
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Providing transportation daily to UVBH residents.
- Providing transportation for community-based activities as needed.
- Maintaining a consistently clean interior of the vehicle assigned.
- Ensuring the van is washed, when needed.
- Preforming pre and post trip check list.
- Reporting any damage or maintenance needed on company vehicles to Headquarters.
- Overseeing the client interactions and addressing any incidents or issues that occur doing transport and providing conflict resolution as needed.
- Assuring the safety and well-being of all residents as well as making sure they adhere to all vehicle rules.
- Knowing and abiding by facility guidelines and appropriate policies and procedures of all programs.
- Attends trainings, workshops, staff, and house meetings as required.
- Resume same tasks as Support Staff when there are no community trips to complete.
