Hancock Pharmacy has recently acquired several more Long Term Care Facilities and with anticipated future growth, we need Staff Pharmacists to join our team. Providing excellent customer service while ensuring accurate and timely dispensing of medications is of utmost importance. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Staff Pharmacist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and verifying prescriptions. Fixed weekly work schedules available.
HOURS NEEDED:
- Monday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
- Friday: 3:00pm - 10:00pm
- Saturday: 3:00pm -10:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all necessary information is present to process orders accurately.
- Check all incoming orders for appropriateness of medication for stated diagnosis.
- Perform all other clinical checks as appropriate on faxed, verbal, electronic and paper orders.
- Contact physician, nurse practitioner, physicians assistant, Director of Nursing at our Long Term Care Facilities, health care worker, patient, patient responsible party or payor as needed.
- Provide clinical counseling to physicians, health care workers, patients or patient responsible party on proper medication therapy.
- Check all filled orders for accuracy prior to delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
