Compensation: hourly wages + tip and commision
Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services including gel manicures, acrylic nail application, nail extensions, and intricate nail art based on client preferences
- Conduct pedicures and other foot care treatments to promote healthy, beautiful feet
- Apply color theory principles to create custom nail designs that match client styles and trends
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures for tools and workstations
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, recommend suitable treatments, and upsell retail products such as nail care items or skincare products
- Ensure proper disinfection of all equipment following industry standards to guarantee a safe environment for clients and staff
- Stay updated on current beauty trends, new techniques like dermabrasion or eyelash extensions, and industry best practices to enhance service quality
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Nail Technician or in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements
- Knowledge of color theory, nail extensions, gel manicures, and sanitation standards required for salon safety
- Familiarity with cosmetology licensing requirements and disinfection procedures in a professional setting
- Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse clients, understand their preferences, and provide personalized recommendations
- Strong retail sales skills combined with upselling techniques to promote retail products effectively
- Demonstrated professionalism in maintaining a clean workspace while delivering top-tier customer service
