Duties
- Responsible for thorough dishwashing using commercial-grade equipment, ensuring all cookware, utensils, and dishware are sanitized according to food safety protocols.
- Support food preparation by organizing kitchen tools and ingredients, assisting with basic prep tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dining areas by sanitizing surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste properly to uphold sanitation standards.
- Buss tables efficiently by clearing dishes promptly, resetting tables for new guests, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies or equipment safely, adhering to manual handling guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment responsibly and report any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Experience
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is highly valued.
- Familiarity with food handling and sanitation practices within a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous.
- Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen health and safety standards are a plus.
- Experience with food safety management procedures helps ensure compliance with local health regulations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential.
