Position Overview
Springfield Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – OB Case Manager for a contract opportunity in Juneau, Alaska. The RN will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in an outpatient OB/GYN clinic while coordinating services, facilitating referrals, educating patients and families, and supporting continuity of care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Coordinate patient care with providers and interdisciplinary teams.
- Facilitate referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of services.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Provide patient and family education regarding care, medications, and discharge needs.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
- Advocate for patients and assist them in navigating the healthcare system.
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, staff education, and required training.
- Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, accountability, and effective teamwork.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Alaska RN license required at the time of submission.
- OB Case Management experience required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- BLS certification required.
- Case Management certification preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and care coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an ambulatory setting.
Important Travel Information
- SEARHC does not provide housing or transportation.
- Traveler/agency is responsible for arranging housing and transportation.
- Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for submission.
- Fingerprint cards must be received by SEARHC before processing can begin.
- The start date will be no less than 5 weeks after SEARHC receives the fingerprint cards.
- Once accepted, travelers should schedule fingerprinting promptly and mail the cards within 2–3 days to help prevent start-date delays.
