Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support menu planning by preparing ingredients needed for daily specials and upcoming menus
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and freshness
- Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and uphold high standards of food presentation
Skills
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly valued
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food service or restaurant industry
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Experience with menu planning, food industry standards, and catering is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
