Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Pre-K 3 Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering young children's development and learning through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. This role involves creating a nurturing classroom environment, implementing curriculum, and supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic growth in a preschool setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to preschool children, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods as applicable.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development, early intervention, and school readiness skills.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Assess individual student progress using standardized testing methods and provide targeted support or tutoring as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child's welfare, including special education needs or early intervention programs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and developmental milestones.
- Foster a love of learning through creative activities that promote social skills, communication skills, and overall child welfare.
- Ensure classroom safety and cleanliness in accordance with childcare regulations and best practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education standards.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education strategies, early intervention programs, and literacy education methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively with children of various backgrounds, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, staff, and community resources.
- Experience working in daycare settings or private schools is preferred; Montessori experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in teaching physical education, math, and other core subjects relevant to preschool curricula.
