Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef, Wok Chef, and Fryer to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and assemble sushi using authentic techniques, ensuring freshness and presentation standards are met
- Cook a variety of wok dishes, utilizing proper stir-fry methods to achieve optimal flavor and texture
- Fry items to perfection, maintaining consistency in temperature and appearance for fried specialties
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed during all food handling and preparation processes
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient food service during busy hours while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in sushi preparation, wok cooking, or frying within a restaurant or culinary setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques relevant to Asian cuisine
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation in fine dining or similar environments
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
