We are seeking a dependable and organized Phone Receptionist to support the daily operations of a busy podiatry practice located in Altamonte Springs, FL. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service over the phone, assist with administrative duties, verify insurance information, and help prepare patient records and financial documentation for upcoming appointments.
Hourly Pay: $16, based on experience and skillset
Responsibilities
Answer and manage incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
Send and receive medical faxes and maintain proper documentation
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for new patients prior to appointments
Obtain and enter accurate patient demographic and insurance information
Pull patient charts and prepare records for next-day appointments
Prepare and review patient financial statements and balances for scheduled visits
Communicate with patients regarding insurance, balances, and appointment information
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Assist providers and office staff with additional administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
Previous medical receptionist or healthcare office experience preferred
Knowledge of insurance verification and medical office procedures
Strong phone communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Basic computer and office equipment proficiency, including faxing and scanning
Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm
