Manual Machinist – Alaska (Full-Time)
We are seeking a skilled well-rounded individual as a Manual Machinist to join our team, with the ability to perform Machinist tasks. This position is responsible for operating machine tools to produce precision parts and ensure equipment reliability. As well as involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and equipment using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)
- Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication on various projects
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Ensure work meets safety and quality standard
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Fabricate, repair, and modify metal parts to specifications
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
- Maintain machines and follow safety procedures
Qualifications:
- Proven machinist experience with manual equipment
- Proven welding experience (MIG, TIG, stick)
- Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools and techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Machinist or technical certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Welding Certification preferred but not required
