Fresh Start Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use challenges, and other life difficulties. Through outreach, harm reduction services, community support, and resource connections, we work to help individuals take positive steps toward stability and recovery.
Position Summary
Fresh Start Project is seeking compassionate and dependable volunteers to assist with community outreach efforts, donation drives, fundraising events, resource distribution, and other projects that support our mission. Volunteers play a vital role in helping us serve the community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Assist with community outreach events and resource distribution.
- Help organize, sort, and prepare donated items.
- Support fundraising events and awareness campaigns.
- Set up and break down tables at community events.
- Distribute flyers and educational materials.
- Assist with special projects and community initiatives.
- Represent Fresh Start Project in a professional and respectful manner.
- Work collaboratively with staff, board members, and fellow volunteers.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable, responsible, and willing to help others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work respectfully with diverse populations.
- Ability to follow organizational policies and procedures.
- No previous volunteer experience required.
Preferred Qualities
- Passion for helping others and serving the community.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Interest in homelessness services, recovery support, harm reduction, or community outreach.
