Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of children, including literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Engage in active classroom management to maintain a safe, organized space conducive to learning and exploration.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings or written updates.
- Incorporate early intervention strategies for children requiring additional support or special education services.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and incident reports.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential, preferably within preschool or toddler care environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management strategies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood education is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety in emergency situations.
- Previous private school or preschool teaching experience will be considered an asset.
