Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Home Care & Healthcare Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic home care and healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing our HR functions, ensuring that our organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of HR best practices , excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments. This role ensures that the organization's human resource policies and practices support its mission of "Restoring Hope, Improving Quality of Life With Respect, and Compassion."
Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition: Conduct interviews, facilitate hiring processes, post job openings, screen candidates, manage onboarding paperwork, and ensure smooth onboarding in alignment with MN 245D and Assisted Living regulations.
- Training & Development: Develop, coordinate, and track employee training programs, orientations, and professional development initiatives.
- Employee Relations: Address employee concerns promptly, mediate workplace conflicts effectively, and foster positive staff interactions and morale.
- Compliance Management: Ensure organizational compliance with employment laws, MN 245D, and Assisted Living regulations, including oversight of NetStudy 2.0 background checks.
- Performance Management: Assist supervisors with performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and maintain accurate documentation related to employee performance.
- Payroll & Benefits Administration: Collaborate with finance to manage payroll processes (Paychex), benefit enrollment and coordination, and answer payroll-related inquiries.
- HR Records Management: Maintain confidential employee files, ensure accuracy within HRIS systems, and regularly update employee data.
- Employer Branding & Social Media: Leverage social media platforms to enhance employer branding, recruitment outreach, and candidate engagement.
- Succession Planning: Support succession planning efforts to maintain leadership continuity and organizational stability.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 -2 years HR experience, preferably in healthcare, home care, or assisted living environments.
- Familiarity with MN 245D and Assisted Living regulations strongly preferred.
- Proficient in interviewing techniques and candidate assessment.
- Strong background in training development and facilitation.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in talent acquisition strategies and practices.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms for data management and reporting.
- Knowledge of ATS tools for recruitment efficiency.
- Competence in social media management for recruitment marketing purposes.
- Experience with payroll systems like ADP or Paychex is preferred.
- Understanding of succession planning processes to support organizational growth.
Work Environment:
- Office-based role with primary weekday hours and occasional flexibility required.
- Regular interaction with internal staff, supervisors, external candidates, and regulatory agencies.
