Duties
- Prepare and assemble baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other confections, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Decorate cakes with icing, fondant, and decorative elements to meet customer specifications and enhance visual appeal
- Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients efficiently and accurately
- Operate packaging equipment to ensure products are properly packaged for sale or delivery
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures throughout all stages of production
- Assist in high-volume production runs while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness in the kitchen environment
- Support catering events or restaurant service by preparing baked goods and assisting with food presentation as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, baking, or pastry arts with a strong focus on cake decorating and food handling
- Knowledge of packaging techniques suitable for baked goods and food items in a commercial setting
- Demonstrated culinary experience in a high-volume environment such as bakeries, restaurants, or catering services
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen tools used in baking and food preparation
- Understanding of food safety management practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
