Pipefitter - Environmental Systems Installation
Overview: Our client is seeking experienced Pipefitters to support the installation of various In-Situ environmental systems, including groundwater treatment, dual-phase extraction, and injection systems. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on piping expertise in construction or landfill environments, and who are committed to safety, precision, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:

Install and glue PVC piping

Fuse and install HDPE piping (landfill work highly valued)

Connect ductile iron piping using flanged and mechanical joints

Perform conduit and copper piping installations (brazing and sweating)

Construct manifold systems using Unistrut and other engineered supports

Install electrical pull boxes and underground vaults

Interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs for piping layouts and system components

Support field teams in wellhead installations and environmental system setup

Adhere to safe work practices and site-specific safety protocols

Maintain open communication with supervisors and crew members

Perform other duties as assigned by the site Superintendent

Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and flow diagrams

Familiarity with safety procedures, especially in landfill or hazardous environments

Strong work ethic with flexibility for overtime or schedule changes
Preferred Experience:
-
3-5 years of hands-on pipefitting experience
-
Experience with excavation/trenching within closed landfills is a plus

Construction industry background, especially in environmental projects
Certifications & Requirements:
-
High School diploma or GED
-
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation

40-Hour HAZWOPER or current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher required
Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Prolonged standing, walking, bending, crawling, and climbing

Frequent use of hands and arms, including fine motor activities

Must possess adequate vision and focus capabilities for field work
Pay Rate Range: $32-$45+/hr DOE
