Job Description
W.E. Timmerman Company Inc., a well-established 89-year-old equipment dealership specializing in heavy equipment for New Jersey’s ever growing municipal, contractor, and utility markets is currently recruiting for a Parts Counter Associate.
Position Overview
The Parts Counter Associate shall handle numerous responsibilities from answering calls, walk in communication with customers and other duties as required. This individual must have the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines and customer expectations and be under general supervision from the Parts Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide excellent customer service to all customers, including assisting customer inquiries with product selection, pricing, and availability
· Parts lookup and research
· Generate parts quotations and invoicing
· Pulling parts orders
· Manage and maintain inventory
· Shipping and receiving
Skills and Experience
· Forklift operation
· Some heavy lifting required
· Occasional driving of company vehicles
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficient use of computer and internet
· Team player but also able to work independently
· Excellent work ethic
· Detail oriented
· Highly organized
· Strong multi-tasking ability
