Job Summary
The Site Superintendent is responsible for daily field operations on construction projects at U.S. Postal Service facilities. This role manages subcontractor coordination, scheduling, safety, quality control, inspections, reporting, and overall field execution to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily jobsite operations and subcontractor coordination
- Execute project schedules and maintain look-ahead schedules with the Project Manager
- Conduct daily coordination meetings with subcontractors
- Enforce site safety requirements and proper documentation
- Coordinate with clients, inspectors, third-party agencies, subcontractors, and project team members
- Review architect reports, deficiency logs, RFIs, submittals, and field issues with the Project Manager
- Perform field QA/QC, including verifying materials against approved submittals and contract documents
- Ensure subcontractors follow issued drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
- Maintain current project documentation on site
- Prepare and submit daily reports using Raken
- Assist with subcontractor payment application review
- Coordinate punch list work and obtain required sign-offs
- Ensure occupied client areas remain clean, secure, and safe at the end of each workday
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent or similar field leadership role
- Experience managing commercial construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, safety, and field coordination
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Experience with field reporting or construction management software
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Construction Management degree preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in occupied facilities
- Experience with USPS, federal, public, or prevailing wage projects
- Familiarity with Raken, Procore, or similar platforms
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Physical & Work Requirements
- Full-time, on-site position in active construction environments
- Travel required based on project location
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and navigate job sites for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Flexible hours may be required based on project schedule and site needs

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
