Horner Industrial Group is a family-owned and operated company that has proudly served customers since 1949. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Hydraulic Cylinder Repair Technician to join our Cincinnati team.
This position is ideal for an individual with a strong mechanical background and proven experience repairing, rebuilding, troubleshooting, and testing hydraulic cylinders and related hydraulic components.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic cylinders.
- Rebuild hydraulic cylinders to manufacturer and customer specifications.
- Replace seals, rods, tubes, pistons, bearings, and other cylinder components.
- Perform precision measurements and inspections with micrometers and calipers to determine repair requirements.
- Conduct pressure testing and quality checks on repaired equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Accurately and thoroughly complete repair documentation and work orders.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and high-quality repairs.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience repairing and rebuilding hydraulic cylinders is required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blue prints and repair specifications.
- Experience using shop tools, measuring instruments, and repair equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Dependability and punctuality is a must
