Job Summary
Pal Pro Fleet Services is hiring an experienced Diesel Technician / A-Level Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic for an immediate opening. We are looking for a technician with strong heavy duty diesel truck repair experience, comfortable working across our full range of work from mid-duty to heavy-duty diesel trucks, proper tools, solid diagnostic ability, and hands-on experience with OEM diagnostic software such as DiagnosticLink and Cummins INSITE. Knowledge of 6.7L diesel engines (Cummins, Power Stroke) is a big plus. This is a shop-based diesel mechanic role, and pay is $40-$50/hour or more depending on experience and qualifications.
We are looking for a dependable technician who owns proper tools, takes pride in doing the job right, and wants to grow with a fast-growing diesel repair company. This posting is open to A-Level technicians at any stage of leadership experience — foreman-level candidates are welcome, but this is not exclusively a foreman role.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy duty diesel trucks, mid-duty diesel trucks, fleet vehicles, and machinery
- Perform diesel engine repair, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance across a wide range of makes and models
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, drivability, hydraulic, brake, suspension, engine, and aftertreatment systems
- Use OEM diagnostic software (DiagnosticLink, Cummins INSITE) and professional scan tools to perform accurate diagnostics
- Complete repairs efficiently and correctly with minimal supervision
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly
- Maintain a professional, safe, and organized shop environment
- Take on additional responsibility as the company grows
Required Qualifications
- Proven heavy duty diesel truck repair experience as an A-Level Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent high-level mechanic
- Comfortable working across a range of mid-duty to heavy-duty diesel trucks and engines
- Must own a complete set of professional tools
- Strong diesel engine diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with DiagnosticLink, Cummins INSITE, or other OEM diagnostic software
- Valid driver's license
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and dependability
- Available to start immediately
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 6.7L diesel engines (Cummins, Power Stroke) is a big plus
- ASE certifications, OEM certifications, or other industry credentials
- CDL is a plus
- Foreman, lead technician, or supervisory experience is a plus (not required)
