Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sit Down and Double Reach Forklift Operator . In this role, you will operate specialized forklift equipment to efficiently load, unload, and manage inventory within a fast-paced distribution environment. Your expertise in warehouse operations and safety protocols will be vital in maintaining smooth logistics flow and ensuring a safe working environment.
Duties
- Operate sit-down forklifts and double reach forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely throughout the warehouse
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems and barcode scanning tools to ensure accurate stock levels
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision and efficiency
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment, perform basic repairs or report maintenance needs promptly
- Follow all forklift safety protocols and OSHA standards to prevent accidents and injuries
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience operating sit-down forklifts, double reach forklifts, equipment
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and order picking procedures
- Knowledge of forklift safety standards in production environments and materials handling best practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with proper technique
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and order accuracy verification
- Familiarity with barcode scanning technology for logistics purposes
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse supervision is preferred but not required
- Commitment to adhering to OSHA regulations and safety standards in all operations
Pay: $18.99 - $19.00 per hour
