Duties
- Prepares a complete financial statement monthly according to dealership guidelines.
- Ensures that all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, parts inventory, and co-op advertising accounts are current and accurate.
- Interprets the financial statement and the daily operating (DOC) regularly and informs dealer principal of developing trends.
- Meeting with department heads regularly to go over business matters and develop plans to increase profitability.
- Prepares short- and long-term financial forecasts for the dealership.
- Proactively manage and safeguard company assets.
- Prepare the daily, weekly, monthly reports required by the management team.
- Reviews the general ledger and schedule accounts and investigates any unusual entries.
- Reviews the reconciliation of general ledger accounts to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payables, floor plan payable, A/R, and A/P
- Computer Savvy with multiple computer systems, (CDK, R&R for example), word, excel, etc.
- Keen attention to Details
- Able to recognize issues, and then solve them
- Comfortable and effective when working with people individually, and or in group
```Qualifications:```
The ideal candidate will need to have a hand’s on and interactive management style as they work directly with the Executive Team on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will need to have the ability to accurately provide sales and expense analyses for improved profitability relative to monthly and annual forecasts.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
-Basic knowledge of corporate tax law and ability to follow changes.
-this is much more advance than a book keeper position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
