Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of fine dining dishes with precision, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Plan menus in collaboration with the culinary team, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
- Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, marinating, plating, and garnishing with skillful knife techniques
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Assist in catering events and special functions, delivering exceptional service aligned with fine dining expectations
- Manage kitchen inventory, monitor ingredient freshness, and ensure proper storage practices
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to uphold the restaurant’s high standards of service quality
Experience
- Proven experience working in fine dining restaurants or upscale culinary establishments
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling within a professional kitchen environment
- Demonstrated expertise in menu planning and meal presentation that highlights creativity and attention to detail
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods such as sautéing, roasting, grilling, and plating
- Prior experience with catering or large-scale food service operations preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the food industry
