Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards

- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, garnishes, or side dishes under supervision
- Support the culinary team in meal preparation and plating to ensure timely service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold food safety regulations and prevent contamination
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, sinks, storage spaces, and workstations
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock shortages or equipment needs
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with menu planning and food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Experience working in restaurants or the food industry demonstrates strong food handling skills
- Knowledge of kitchen safety practices and proper knife skills is beneficial
- Exposure to catering or serving environments can enhance understanding of food service operations
