This unique position combines warehouse responsibilities, equipment operation and local travel to assist with cemetery services throughout Nebraska. Location: Kearney, NE
Pay: $19.00/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays and a few Sundays throughout the year. Base hours are 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, but end times vary depending on funeral services and may extend until 5:00–6:00 PM.
Build and prepare concrete burial vaults.
Operate a forklift to move and load vaults.
Paint and maintain burial vaults.
Load vaults onto trucks and trailers for transport.
Drive to cemeteries throughout Nebraska.
Set up burial vaults, cable and pulley systems, tents and chairs before services.
Remain on-site during funeral services and tear down equipment afterward.
Perform general warehouse duties and assist with light mechanical work as needed.
Work safely in both indoor and outdoor environments in all types of weather.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Forklift experience is helpful but training may be provided.
Mechanically inclined is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable with excellent attendance.
Comfortable working outdoors and traveling to various cemetery locations.
Ability to lift, load, and move heavy materials.
Ability to stand, bend, climb and perform physical labor throughout the day.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
