Parts Specialist (Commercial Truck Repair)

We're growing and looking for a dependable, energetic Parts & Logistics Specialist to help keep our shop running efficiently.
Position Overview
This is an active, fast-paced position that's perfect for someone who enjoys staying busy. You'll split your time between sourcing and ordering parts, maintaining inventory, and driving a company vehicle to pick up parts needed for repairs. Every day is different, and your ability to quickly find the right parts helps keep our technicians productive and our customers' trucks on the road.

Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and order truck and automotive parts from local and national vendors.
- Drive a company vehicle to pick up parts from dealerships, suppliers, and distributors throughout the Nashville area.
- Research and locate hard-to-find parts using manufacturer catalogs, online lookup systems, and vendor resources.
- Work closely with technicians to identify and obtain the correct parts quickly.
- Receive, inspect, organize, and stock incoming inventory.
- Maintain an organized parts room and accurate inventory records.
- Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure fast service and competitive pricing.
- Process warranty returns, core returns, and parts credits.
- Assist service advisor in answering phones and helping customers when needed.
Qualifications
- Experience working with automotive or commercial truck parts preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Comfortable driving throughout the Nashville area multiple times each day.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and experience using parts lookup or inventory software.
- Diesel truck knowledge is a plus.
- Previous experience as a mechanic, parts counterperson, or service advisor is a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
