Pays $14/hour + Tips! Join our team as a Host & Food Runner at our Thai and Sushi restaurant. This role combines the art of customer relations with exceptional food service, creating memorable dining experiences for every guest. Whether greeting guests with a warm smile or delivering outstanding service at the table, ensuring smooth operations and a lively atmosphere that keeps guests coming back is essential.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations using OpenTable and similar reservation systems
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a seamless and welcoming check-in process
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS systems, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas promptly to maintain a clean and inviting environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately while providing excellent guest relations throughout the service experience
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant hosting, or hospitality roles is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems or similar platforms is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with reservation management tools like OpenTable is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude that fosters guest satisfaction and team collaboration
