Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for machining operations, including trial runs to verify machine accuracy.
Perform raw material preparation, including cutting, measuring, and marking material for machining.
Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-code to ensure accurate machining results.
Perform tool changes, adjustments, and routine maintenance on machines and tooling.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
Select and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and accessories for each job.
Operate saws and other machines for material cutting and preparation.
Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
Conduct quality control inspections of finished parts and assemblies, ensuring they meet required tolerances.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to resolve machining or assembly issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with other duties as assigned.
