Position Summary
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Food Service Supervisor / Dietary Manager to oversee daily dietary operations within a fast-paced, resident-focused environment. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality meal service, maintaining compliance with food safety regulations, and leading dietary staff to support overall resident satisfaction and care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen and food service operations to ensure timely and efficient meal delivery
- Supervise, train, and support dietary staff, including scheduling and performance oversight
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and customer satisfaction
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support dietary needs and special diets
- Participate in inspections, audits, and corrective actions as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to food service operations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in food service, nutrition, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in food service operations, preferably in healthcare, long-term care, or institutional settings
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Working knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and regulatory guidelines
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Certification as a Dietary Manager (CDM) or Certified Food Service Manager is preferred but NOT required at hire
- Candidates may qualify through a combination of education, training, and relevant experience, in alignment with applicable regulations
- Willingness to obtain certification if required within an established timeframe
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
