Job Summary
Learning Lab is currently looking for enthusiastic, proactive leaders to join our team as an after school site coordinator. Under the direction of the Program Manager, is responsible for the daily operation of the after-school, including, but not limited to, safety, personnel, activities, and general program operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
Supervise Program Leaders/Instructors/3rd Party Vendors to ensure quality and engaging programming.
Oversee program daily, provide instructional and behavioral support to Program Leaders/Instructors/3rd Party Vendors and provide suggestions and assistance for improvement, as needed.
Maintain after school attendance list in collaboration with the school administrators, ensure all after school students are accounted for.
Oversee afterschool arrival process, create after school labels for all after school students. Ensure all Instructors/3rd party vendors have daily attendance list.
Oversee dismissal ensuring all students are dismissed safely.
Plan and lead end-of-session celebrations for students and end of school year closing procedures at school site.
Communicate regularly and proactively with program partners, school administrators, Program Manager, and PA Executive Committee members.
Write and submit incident reports and collect witness reports, as needed.
Serve as a liaison with school administration, faculty, staff, instructors and 3rd part vendors.
Maintain supplies (both reusable and consumable) and snacks, submitting order request as needed.
Ensure that school facility are kept tidy.
Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment
Oversee aftercare program, creating fun and engaging activities
Collaborate with school administrators to organize and lead ongoing emergency drills
MUST be available, on-time, and prepared to work during assigned hours, for 4 + hours a day, from 2pm to 6 pm Monday- Friday.
Qualifications and Skills
The After School Site Coordinator is a detail-oriented self-starter with strong leadership, organizational, management, and communication skills.
Associate's degree in related field or equivalent, but not required
Minimum of one year of experience working with groups of children between the ages of 5 and 10.
1+ years’ experience working in a leadership or supervisory capacity in an after-school, summer program, day camp or community youth outreach setting is preferred.
Experience planning and teaching art, STEM, STEAM, and/or craft activities preferred.
Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
Strong youth engagement and relationship-building skills.
Enthusiasm, high energy, and outgoing demeanor.
Familiarity and experience working with youth from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds is strongly preferred.
Ability to work under high-pressure, fast-paced and demanding/adaptable environment.
Skill in data tracking, record keeping, writing reports, and maintaining student records.
Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate sensitivity to others as well as respond to critical incidents and emergency situations with swift and mindful action.
CPR and Frist Aid certification is preferred.
Must clear background checks.
Pay Rate: $21-$25 per hour, with Paid Time off
