Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all guests receive top-notch service. Your ability to engage with customers and manage their needs will be key to your success in this role.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system.
- Provide recommendations on menu items, including upselling specials and promotions.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Manage guest relations by addressing any concerns or requests promptly and effectively.
- Assist with bussing tables to maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
- Sanitate work areas and adhere to food safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely order preparation.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and culinary techniques to provide informed recommendations.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Server or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong skills in guest relations, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on teamwork.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to culinary service.
