Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Crew Leader, Mowing, to spearhead our landscaping teams in delivering top-tier lawn and landscape maintenance services. In this pivotal role, you will lead a crew responsible for maintaining beautiful, healthy outdoor spaces across various properties. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a mowing crew to complete landscape maintenance tasks efficiently and to the highest standards
- Assign daily duties, monitor progress, and provide guidance to team members on landscaping techniques and safety protocols
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct plant identification to assess health and recommend appropriate care or adjustments during maintenance routines
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations while maintaining a clean work site
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project status, scheduling, and any landscape concerns or recommendations
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, or gardening with a strong understanding of horticulture principles
- Supervising or crew management experience in outdoor or construction projects is highly desirable
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest management
- Ability to identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to assess health and growth needs
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Experience with irrigation management systems and troubleshooting issues on-site
- Construction experience related to projects is a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients alike
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred
