Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontist with various procedures, including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings, ensuring efficient and comfortable patient experiences
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for each appointment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques
- Take and develop 3D scans, accurately documenting findings in electronic medical records (EMR systems)
- Educate patients on orthodontic care, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment instructions while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies
- Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to safeguard patient information and promote a sterile environment
- Support the dental team with administrative duties such as answering the phone as a dental receptionist, managing medical records, and assisting with medical coding when necessary
Requirements
- Valid RDA license with experience in dental assisting, preferably within orthodontics or pediatric dentistry
- Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and treatment planning
- Knowledge of dental terminology, rility to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately and safely
- Strong understanding of healthcare infection control policies and clinical confidentiality policies aligned with HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively while demonstrating professionalism as a dental receptionist or clinical team member

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
