WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
The technical team is expanding and needs a Field Service Technician to support customers across North America, while also contributing in the shop when not traveling.
This is a long-term hire focused on building internal technical strength.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on industrial equipment.
- Commission and support measurement and control systems.
- Perform field repairs, calibrations, and system upgrades.
- Support customer startups and technical issues on-site.
- Write clear service reports after each visit.
- Assist with in-house repairs and testing when not traveling.
- Build technical knowledge across multiple types of equipment.
WHAT STRONG CANDIDATES LOOK LIKE
- Hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- Comfortable working in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial controls.
- Exposure to Ethernet or industrial networking.
- Willingness to travel around 75% (primarily weekday travel).
- Ability to travel internationally on occasion (Canada/Mexico primarily).
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Backgrounds in maintenance, field service, electronics, or automation are strong fits.
- No degree required if hands-on experience is solid.
