Job Summary:
Maintains all aspects of the store operation including trailer sales, service revenue, parts sales, operations, inventory management, safety and profitability. Creates a culture that creates an environment for employees and customers that clearly differentiates us from the competition.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Leads the store team in meeting and exceeding sales, parts & service revenue, customer experience and margin goals
- Execution of sales strategy
- Maintain store standards throughout the location
- Follow company directives, policies and procedures for customer service, employee relations, inventory control, supply purchasing, labor and other controllable expenses
- Ensure that the store is fully staffed with qualified employees. Own succession planning for their stores and timely training for all employees. Follow Human Resources policies & procedures providing a healthy work environment.
- Create a safe & secure environment for all employees, customers and visitors. Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained and used. Ensure that all employees are properly trained in safety policies and practices and that compliance is enforced.
- Ensure stores are executing parts selling strategy and maintaining accurate inventories
- Recruiting, hiring, training, mentoring, and developing store employees to build a high-performing team and foster a positive work environment. This also includes providing feedback, resolving conflicts, and coaching for performance and development
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plans and organizes daily activities related to the office, operations sales & service.
- Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Ensure that the store is opened and closed each business day to ensure proper security and customer service.
- Monitors and manages productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports to meet target performance goals.
- Coordinates with other support departments to ensure successful operations.
- Coordinates with sales department to determine sale goals, timing, and labor needs.
- Coach and lead sales employees, including personal sales, on our products, use and features in the marketplace to meet or exceed sales and margin goals.
- Manage the parts and service department including the warranty process to ensure sales goals are met or exceeded, productivity is high and customers have a positive experience.
- Ensure that all store standards are consistently met including, but not limited to: safety, cleanliness, security, customer service, cash handling, banking, regulatory compliance, etc.
- Oversees shipping and receiving function to ensure that products are ordered in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure that products are properly forecasted, received, stocked, and priced when they come in to maintain existing inventory and incoming products. Including assembly of trailers.
- Coordinate display of all trailers and parts at dealership
- Maintain overall continuity of Sales and Service Department
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient in utilization of CRM and DMS systems.
- Ability to solve problems, meet customer needs, and flexibility and adaption to change.
- Direct experience/knowledge with trailers.
- Motivated leader capable of motivating and developing others to achieve company goals.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Dealers License (may be obtained during employment)
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Associate's degree or related work experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in retail or sales environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at times.
