Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly in both languages, establishing rapport and understanding their needs.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits effectively.
- Assist customers with selecting merchandise, providing knowledgeable advice on product options.
- Upsell additional items or services to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Manage stock levels by merchandising displays, stocking shelves, and organizing products for optimal presentation.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or providing support over the phone.
- Ensure all transactions are processed efficiently with attention to retail math and cash handling accuracy.
- Support team members with supervising tasks as needed, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Participate in inventory management activities such as stock counts and replenishment.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring satisfaction.
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both English and another language (bilingual proficiency required).
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math skills are highly advantageous.
- Experience in supervising or leading small teams is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques, product demos, upselling strategies, and stock management will set you apart.
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills, and strong communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
