Job Summary: Gadsden Health and Rehab is a long term care and a skilled rehab facility in Gadsden, Alabama seeking dedicated and compassionate RN's and LPN's to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidates will provide high-quality patient care, demonstrate strong clinical skills, and possess a deep understanding of nursing practices. This role requires effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. Charge nurses are responsible for providing nursing care the residents as prescribed by their physician and in accordance with the standards of nursing practices and regulations. Charge nurses are directed and supervised by the Director of Nursing and Nursing Dept. Managers.
Pay from $28.00 to $38.00/hr. with a 10k Sign-On Bonus for FULL TIME only. Must meet bonus requirements. Great benefits and Shift Differential.
Currently hiring 7AM to 7PM, 7PM to 7AM; 12 hour shifts.
Duties
- Deliver resident centered care.
- Assess, monitor, document the resident's health condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections.
- Monitor vital signs and manage acute pain effectively.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize PCC (Point Click Care) for efficient patient record management.
- Perform procedures such as catheterization, and specimen collection/processing.
- Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and post-care instructions.
- Participate in infection control measures and maintain a sterile environment.
- Provide direct nursing care and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the certified nursing assistants in accordance with the current federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policy and procedures.
Skills
Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills:
- Familiarity with hospice & palliative medicine, geriatrics, and senior care.
- Ability to perform advanced nursing procedures such as dialysis, c-pap/bi-pap management, i.v., and tube feeding.
- Strong skills in patient assessment
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care settings.
- Competence in basic life support (BLS), phlebotomy, venipuncture, and airway management.
- Understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge for effective communication within the healthcare team.
