Roadrunner Drilling & Pump Company, Inc. is a full-service water well drilling and pump contractor based in Woodland, California. We serve the municipal, agricultural, and domestic water well industries throughout Northern California.
We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Water Well Helper to assist our drilling and pump crews. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the water well industry and develop the skills needed for advancement within the company.
Responsibilities
- Assist drilling and pump crews with daily operations.
- Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
- Perform general labor and physically demanding tasks in a variety of field conditions.
- Assist with equipment setup, mobilization, and demobilization.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and tools.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Work effectively as part of a team while taking direction from supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the water well, construction, agricultural, heavy equipment, or related industries.
- Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, backhoes, loaders, or similar machinery.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Valid Class A CDL.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, climb, twist, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and customers.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to travel and stay out of town when required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- Typical 10–12 hour shifts
- Overtime required
- Occasional weekend and shift work depending on project needs
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
